Borussia Dortmund, who has been pleased with the winger since signing on loan in January, will make every effort to purchase Man United's Jadon Sancho this summer.  The Englishman's strained connection with Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag was advantageous to the German team, since the Dutch coach desired the 24-year-old removed from his squad after a fallout at the beginning of the season.

Sancho scored a spectacular goal versus RB Leipzig on Saturday to increase his total in Germany to three goals and a pair of assists in all competitions. Sancho has shown signs of returning to his best at Borussia Dortmund

Will Borussia Dortmund be able to get Jadon Sancho in the next transfer window?

According to Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund wants to retain Sancho for the 2024–2025 season and will attempt to reach an agreement with Manchester United during the summer to make that happen. The German team will make every effort to establish a consensus, but the transfer journalist notes that it won't be simple to do so.

The financial implications are the main barrier preventing Sancho from joining Borussia Dortmund this summer. The winger at Old Trafford makes £250,000 a week, a wage the German team will never come remotely close to matching for the Englishman. In addition, a transfer price will be required; according to reports, United is seeking to part with the 24-year-old for almost £50 million.

The Bundesliga team is unable to contact these numbers, which will obstruct any potential move. The fact that Man United might fire Erik ten Hag this summer is another reason.

The winger's departure from the English Premier League team in January was primarily due to the Dutch coach, and now that a new manager will be taking over at Old Trafford for the upcoming campaign, Sancho might be open to returning. Dortmund will make an effort to close a deal, but as Fabrizio Romano notes, numerous obstacles must be overcome.
