In the race to sign Patrick Dorgu of Lecce, Chelsea is having an advantage over Tottenham Hotspur. According to recent sources, Spurs are interested in signing Dorgu this summer. Tottenham is reportedly interested in signing the 19-year-old, but there will be competition for his services, according to Italian news source Tuttosport.

As per sources, Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan, and Atletico Madrid are all interested in signing Dorgu this summer. According to reports, Lecce values Dorgu at over €20 million (£17 million), and he is expected to attract attention from multiple clubs across Europe when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

Tottenham may be mentioned in the report as having an interest in Dorgu, but Chelsea is not. Despite not being connected with a deal for the Lecce defender, Chelsea appears to have an advantage over its London rivals.

Dorgu recently revealed his respect for Chelsea and hinted at a transfer to the Premier League. The left-back, largely considered one of Serie A's most promising young players, went on to address recent rumours over his future at Lecce.

I have been a Chelsea fan for many years: Patrick Dorgu

According to Football London, during a recent interaction with Flashscore which happened last month, Patrick Dorgu spoke about his rumours that he may leave Leece. Further, he stated, “I don't spend that much time on it."

"There are always rumours and there have also been some inquiries to my agent, but right now I am under contract in Lecce, and then we will have to see what happens."

Dorgu added: "I have been a Chelsea fan for many years, so of course it is clear that it is a dream. That's not to say I can't switch to other teams in the Premier League, but even if things aren't going so well for them right now, it's my team."
