Chelsea FC will be up against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday at the Wembley Stadium. The defending champions will be looking to qualify for the final, after their loss in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals against Real Madrid on Wednesday. However, they have the chance of winning the oldest football tournament and as well the Premier League. Pep Guardiola will look to pump up the players after their loss in the penalties.

On the other hand, the Blues will be looking for an upset and qualify for the final after two years. In 2021/22 they lost to Liverpool in the final. Mauricio Pochettino will try to shock the reigning champions on the weekend and win the game. Ahead of the game, there has been a setback for the West London side as they will be missing their star centre-back Levi Colwill. He has not recovered from the toe injury he suffered last month.

The English centre-back first suffered the injury back in February against Crystal Palace, but he was competing in the games with painkillers and injections, till March. Despite returning to training ahead of the important clash, the Argentine head coach will not like to risk him against City. The miss will be a big one for the club as he has been a stellar performer for the side at the back line and the academy graduate has earned the back of the coach with his performances.

Can Chelsea shatter City's 'Double Dream'?

The Stamford Bridge side is currently placed 9th in the PL table with 47 points and three points behind Manchester United and Newcastle for a probable place in the UEFA Europa Conference League next season with one game still in hand. After the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel the side has performed inconsistently, however in the last two games they have made brilliant performances.

Cole Palmer the former Manchester City man currently is in red-hot form in the ongoing season as he has scored 25 goals across competition with 20 of them coming in the PL and he is the joint-highest goal scorer alongside Erling Haaland in the EPL this season. He has scored two back-to-back hattricks and would like to score against his former club on Saturday.
