The UEFA Champions League is in the business end as on Tuesday one of the finalists Borussia Dortmund have qualified in the final of the tournament. On Wednesday La Liga champions Real Madrid faced off against Bayern Munich in the 2nd leg of the UCL semi-final for a place in the final at Wembley. In the reverse fixture at the Allianz Arena the game ended in a 2-2 draw with all to play in the second leg.

The game started more in the way of the home side as they had more chances in the first 45 minutes of the game with Manuel Neuer coming to the rescue for the side by making two big saves in the game. Harry Kane tried with a half turn shot from outside the box but his shot was saved by Andriy Lunin.

The second half began exactly the same way as Madrid looked threatening with Vini keeping Joshua Kimmich busy. Kane again broke on the counter as the former Tottenham man yet again tested Lunin for a decent shot. The Los Blancos kept piling on the pressure but were denied by the German shot-stopper.

Joselu the 'super-sub'

On the other hand against the run of play after soaking in the pressure hit back in the counter attack as a long ball from Kane towards Alphonso Davies who took Antonio Rudiger 1v1 before striking a shot with his weaker right foot, finishing at the back of the net. However the Spanish Giants made some changes with Luka Modric coming on before the goal.

The Croatian delivered a corner that went in while deflecting and went inside the goal but the goal was disallowed for a foul on Kimmich by Nacho Fernandez. The ‘Kings of Europe’ kept on piling the pressure as horrible mistake from Neuer led Joselu to equalise in the 88th minute of the game and then the striker yet again scored making it 2-1 on the night, 4-3 on aggregate by meeting Antonio Rudigers’ cross.
