FC Barcelona faced Real Madrid in the La Liga, El Clasico on Sunday. The Los Blancos handed over their arch rivals another defeat in the season as they made it double win against the Blaugranes after the 3-2 win against them at the Santiago Bernabeu. The game was end to end from the begining as Barca scroed an early goal in the 6th minute of the match with Andreas Christensen breaking the deadlock for the side.

Jude Bellingham who was silent for the whole match scored the winner in the 91st minute of the game. But ahead of the winner there was some controversial decision during the course of the match. In the 28th minute of the game a corner by Raphinha was flicked by Lamine Yamal in the near post and the ball went inside the goal before the Andriy Lunin pulled it out, however the hhoal was not been given due to lack of goal line technology in the Spanish League.

The referee disallowed the goal after consulting with VAR and that decision has changed the course of the match. Barca president Joan Laporta has asked the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for a replay of the game as Xavi slammed the officials after the disallowed goal and also the league for not having a goal line technology as well.

Laporta complains in REFF

Laporta said, "We asked the RFEF to provide us with all the images and audios of Lamine’s cancelled goal. If it was a legal goal, we do not rule out asking to re-play the match. We will go further, we do not rule out anything." The head coach believed that the ball had crossed the line while Marc-Andre ter Stegen also admitted it was embarrasing that La Liga does not use goal-line technology.

The club has been struggling with problems as they were in a unbeaten 13-match streak untill they faced Paris Saint-Germain in the 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals losing out to them 1-4 and now losing the Clasico as well. The dreams for winning the Spanish league has also been over as they sit 11 points behind their rivals after the loss on Sunday.
