Reporter Gianluca Di Marzio from Italy provided some fascinating details about Juventus's hunt for Thiago Motta. The transfer market expert talked after Saturday night's cagey draw between Milan and the Bianconeri. Max Allegri as well as Stefano Pioli may be sent packing at the conclusion of the season, as Di Marzio maintained that both teams have reached the completion of a cycle.

He said, “Milan and Juventus are tiredly reaching the end of their cycles. But then it will be important not to make a mistake when choosing the new coach. Thiago Motta is on pole for Juventus. On the other hand, for AC Milan, there is the name of Lopetegui but he doesn’t excite the fans. So we need to understand how much the club is influenced by the fans’ opinion when making their choice.”

In addition, Di Marzio disclosed that Motta had already indicated his availability for Juventus, reiterating Allegri's termination from Continassa. The expert added, “Allegri has no chance of remaining at Juventus. Thiago Motta is the chosen one and has given his availability for the club.”

The 41-year-old is having a fantastic season with Bologna, who are about to achieve a historic UEFA Champions League qualification. With a victory versus Udinese this afternoon, the Rossoblu, who are presently fourth in the standings, would have a chance to pass Juventus for third position.

Will Juventus be able to rope in Thiago Motta for next season?

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bologna want to keep Thiago Motta on as their coach past June 2024, even though Manchester United and Juventus are also interested. The former midfield player is reportedly Juventus' top choice to succeed Massimiliano Allegri, although Manchester United is also keeping an eye on the former Inter and Barcelona player, as verified on page eight of Friday's printed issue of La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The paper asserted that Bologna is still hopeful about continuing with their coach, nonetheless. In the event that the Rossoblu advance to the Champions League, club directors and owner Joey Saputo are optimistic that they may convince Motta to stay into the summer. Bologna was also prepared to extend its two-year contract offer to Motta, as Gazzetta had revealed just two days prior.
