The Blues had the chance to beat Pep Guardiola's side in the FA Cup, but they failed to capitalise their chances, as striker Nicolas Jackson missed lot of easy chances in both halfs of the game. The Senegalese forward was through on many ocassions but he could not put it past Stefan Ortega. Fans and football pundits have lashed out on the footballer after his horrifying display at Wembley. However he has scored 13 goals and five assists in what has been his first season in English football since his summer arrival from Villarreal.

Mauricio Pochettino has backed his striker after his dismal show against City. The Argentine coach believes he is the leading striker for the side currently, and the 22-year-old has been performing good with the side and have managed well as well. The coach believes that the striker needs time to improve him and also provides the assurance that he will be better next season.
