Atalanta BC hosted Liverpool in the 2nd leg of the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals. The Reds coming to the match from a 3-0 loss at home against the Italian side at home. Jurgen Klopp's side started the game as they wanted it scored an early goal from the penalty as it was converted by Mohamed Salah. They had the best of the chances to put the game in a more interesting mode but failed to convert them and the game ended in 1-0 victory for the night for the Reds and 3-1 in aggregate with Atalanta going through to the semi-finals.

Juan Musso-8

Excellent display from the Argentine keeper just as the 1st leg. He was brilliant under the post, and did not took on the pressure and collected the crosses and shots cleanly without mistakes. However he could not have done in the penalty. 

Berat Djimsiti- 6

Djimsiti was excellent in the pitch along with his partner Hien and except for that one penalty goal he was never tested as such. 

Isak Hien- 6.5

Hien fumbled sometimes and miscued one ball in pressure, however it was not dangerous in the end for the side. 

Sead Kolasinac-7.5

The former Arsenal centre back had a good time marking Salah for the game and used all his experience during the attacks of Liverpool and did not fumblle despite the pressure. 

Davide Zappacosta-7.5

The full was excellent dealing with Luis Diaz for the game as he marked him well and did not let him go past him inside the box. Created one good goal scoring opportunity as well.

Marten De Roon- 7

Started the game in the middle of the park playing a lot more defensive role and well marked Mac Allister and destoyed the Reds attack. 

Ederson-7

Had a good game in the middle of the park dictated the counter attacks for the side and had good time against Mac Allister and Szoboszlai.   

Matteo Ruggeri-6.5

The left back had a good time against Salah despite his hand was out in the box that earned the penalty, but was good throughout the game.  

Teun Koopmeiners- 7.5

The best player for the home side as he created lot of chances but failed to deliver the final ball inside the box or score himself. 

Aleksey Miranchuk- 4.5

Miranchuk was not at his best despite starting the game and had struggled get past Konate and Van Dijik. 

Gianluca Scamacca-5

Scamacca was brilliant in the first leg but could not have much of the impact of the game and missed some chances, overall performing decently.

Alisson was hardly tested but the Brazilian had a good outing as he came back to the UEL after an injury 

Trent Alexander-Arnold- 6

The English full back started his first game after coming back from injury, had a decent outing was caught out of position during the counter attacks and tried to deliver some crosses but was not effective. 

Ibrahima Konate- 7.5

Konate despite caught out of position was brilliant at the back and kept a clean sheet for the side but unfortunately his side could not score more than one goal. 

Virgil Van Dijk- 7.5

Dijik was good in defence when the counters came from the home side he was well in position and marked Scammaca well throughout the match. 

Andrew Robertson- 5

Was caught during the counters and was off in the game as the full back failed to deliver some goal scoring crosses in the box. 

Alexis Mac Allister- 5.5

The Argentine was decent in the game could have much of the impact in the game as he was well marked in the middle of the park. 

Dominik Szoboszlai-5 

The Hungarian could not control the tempo of the game and lost balls in the middle of the park tried some shots from outside the box but was either blocked or saved. 

Curtis Jones-4.5 

Jones started the game ahead of Nunez but failed to have any impact in the game as he merely touched the ball.

Mohamed Salah-6

Salah except for the one goal had a very good chance to put his side 2-0 ahead but failed to put on the chip inside the box as he was alone with the keeper putting it wide. 

Cody Gakpo- 4.5

Gakpo failed to have any impact on the game as he could not create any serious chances for the side and failed to deliver in the centre of the attacking third. 

Luis Diaz-5.5

Diaz had the opportunity to score the second untill he was denied by Juan Musso in a 1v1 save. The Colombian looked decent off the ball and could not gave the break runs in the wings.
