Chris Jericho establishes himself as heel by beating Hook in AEW Dynasty 2024

Chris Jericho has announced himself as a full-time heel after his win against Hook in the AEW Dynasty 2024. Y2J ended the 8-month reign of Hook after beating the second-generation Superstar in the FTW match. In the process, the Ocho claimed his maiden world title in more than 20 months. However, the fans were not too happy with the way Jericho won the match.

Jericho was the first-ever AEW Champion when he was crowned. But after losing the title, the former WWE Superstar has not been able to be a singles champion. He did win the ROW world title in 2022 but held on to it for just a couple of months. In AEW Dynasty 2024, Jericho broke the streak of his 2-year title drought and the good run of Hook as the FTW champion.

The Cold-hearted Handsome Devil won the title by beating Jack Perry last year in August. Since then, the unique wrestler held the title putting on some good matches. It took foul tricks from the veteran to dethrone the impressive title run of Hook. As it was an FTW rules match, there was room for foul tricks. Chris took complete advantage of it and emerged victorious.

The match had even been contested right from the beginning. Both the wrestlers went at each other with fierce competition. The first major blow was delivered by Jericho as he hit a low blow to Hook. He then delivered a couple of Judas effects to Hook. But the young wrestler was determined to fight till the end. Jericho went to extremes to claim a win over Hook.

He pulled out the bat from under the ring and started to hit Hook. There was no stopping the beating as the audience could not bear to watch it. Jericho did not mind it and took down Hook. After pinning the impressive wrestler, Jericho claimed the FTW Championship. Taz, Hook's father, came to check on his son after the match. Jericho went away with the title with no remorse in his face.
