The Miami Open has continued to impress us throughout the ongoing tournament. The first finalist of the match has already been fixed after Jannik Sinner defeated Daniil Medvedev in the first semi-final match. This is the day when the playoffs become completely intense. The battle between the experienced Bulgarian in Grigor Dimitrov and the young and powerful German in Alexander Zverev.

Dimitrov has come into the semi-finals after beating World number 2 Carlos Alcaraz proving himself to be a worthy contender in the Tennis world. Dimitrov currently has 9 career titles to his name, where he has impressed everyone with his unique ability to use the whole court and shotmaking skills. On the other hand, Alexander Zverev has been one of the upcoming players who made his way into the semi-finals beating Fabian Maroszan in 2 straight sets. He has been known for his aggressive stroke play and is capable of wearing down his opponents in every shot he plays.

The fairy tale ends with an epic Semi-final encounter

This was perhaps one of the most gruelling semi-final games in the Miami Open. Both the players deserve all the credit of making this match a spectacle for the fans. The first set saw Grigor Dimitrov get the better of Zverev winning the first set 6-4. Looking at this it seemed like he was the favourite to make it to the finals. However, what we witnessed was an intense second set where Zverev chose to fight back against the 32-year-old Bulgarian. The match went into a tie-breaker which saw Zverev putting the pressure on Dimitrov and winning the tiebreaker to get back into the match. The last and final set was make or break for both the players. As usual, it was Dimitrov who withstood the pressure and won the set 6-4.

This was a great ending to a magnificent semi-final where we finally got to see the experience and presence of Dimitrov in the game. He was active all around the court ready to counterattack everything Zverev threw at him. Zverev did try his best by coming back in the second set, but the third set saw the Bulgarian breaking the serve and eyeing his 10th career title where he will be dealing with another top-ranked player in Sinner. We hope that we get to see the final also pan out the same way and give us another intense game.
