Just like every tournament, the Stuttgart Open was down to its last four players. This WTA tournament has had its fair share of great matches as well and features some of the best players in the game. With being really close to getting our winner, we can surely expect a few more surprises in the tournament that we have been getting this entire clay season so far.

The match everyone was waiting for was the game featuring Iga Swiatek who was currently holding the number one position and world number four Elena Rybakina. Both these players were the top players in the WTA and what could have been better than a great semi final clash between them? Although we would have wanted both these world-class players to win, there could only be one winner in the long run. This was perhaps the match up in the WTA tour so far.

Rybakina comes out victorious against the world number 1

Although many people would pick Swiatek who has been in impressive form, it was Rybakina who came out on top in the first set of the match. The former 2022 Wimbledon winner dominated Iga Swiatek winning 6 games to 3 and putting the 4-time grand slam winner under pressure. However, Swiatek came back in the second set winning 6 games to 4 and came back into the match. It was all or nothing as it came to the last and final set of the match. The last and final set in the end went in favour of Rybakina and resulted in the Kazakhstani taking the first spot in the final.

This was a tight game which we all enjoy watching between two current players who are dominating the game right now. This is Rybakina's chance to announce herself in the clay season. She will be facing either Marta Kostyuk or Vandrousova in the upcoming finals of the tournament. This has really been a great game to witness between the two world class players in the game right now and we hope to see more intense games like this going forward in the season.
