Rybakina wins the title

This was still a final where Rybakina was a favourite not only because she has been in top form, but also she has just come into this final after beating world number 1 ranked Iga Swiatek in the semi finals. This confidence was evident in the first set as Rybakina completely dominated Kostyuk winning 6 games to 2. The 2022 Wimbledon champion was just one set away from taking the title. The second set was equally one sided and Rybakina ended up winning her first ever Stuttgart Open championship.

This is the moment Rybakina has announced herself in the clay season and will give her immense confidence after losing a number of finals this season. This was the game that could mark her winning return in the season. Though we didn’t get to see an iconic and intense final encounter, it was still great to see Rybakina in winning form and not leaving any room for error in this final encounter. This is definitely one of the moments she will cherish going forward this season.
