British tennis player Emma Raducanu had a great start in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix campaign as she went on to defeat her fellow Grand Slam champion Angelique Keber in the Stuttgart Open 2024 on April 17, Wednesday. The star player was looking into her stunning form and sealed a great win over Keber.

Notably, the great player is currently ranked 303 in the world, as she recently overcame the difficulties. The 21-year-old player didn't have a great campaign after the US Open back in 2021; however, she marked her magnificent comeback at the Stuttgart Open in 2024. She defeated Keber 6-2, 6-1.

However, the young player revealed that it was difficult for her to play against Keber, as she also possessed some great skills in the game. The Toronto-born player revealed her skills and tactical approach against Keber, who has had a successful career in the sport over the past many years.

"It was obviously very difficult to play Angie. She has so much history behind her. You're not just playing Angie Kerber. You're playing the person who achieved all those amazing results, so it's definitely one of those where you have to get your mind around and try and play the ball in front of you," said Raducanu.

I think it wasn't the prettiest match but I really did try to focus: Emma Raducanu

Meanwhile, the great player still feels that she was unable to deliver her best, and this wasn't the best match for her. Emma also talks about what she lacks in the game and how she can overcome it in the match against her fellow player, who had more success than Emma. Notably, the young player got off to a flying start in the opening round, and she will be looking to continue the same in the rest of the tournament.

"I think it wasn't the prettiest match but I really did try to focus and think of the next point, the next ball ahead and not get too bogged down because there were some really long games so I'm just happy to have got through that," she added further.
