There have been a lot of legendary Tennis players that we have seen throughout the years already. We have seen these people struggle their way into the game and rise to the top to exceed expectations. Every generation has had their 2 stalwarts who have carried the game for years. For this generation, it has so far been the big three, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic, who have been the leading men of Tennis in the 2000s and 2010s.

This was the period where we got to see the skill of the Swiss, the brawn of the Spaniard and the upcoming successor in the Serbian. However, the time of these three is almost coming to an end with Federer retiring, Nadal going through some injuries and Djokovic also coming to the last phase of his career. There are still some new talents coming up in the tournament who might take their place in the future.

Rick Macci on the new leaders

There have been some great coaches in the world of tennis as well, and one of the best in the world is Rick Macci, who has trained some great players like Jennifer Capriarti, Maria Sharapova and the legendary Serena Williams. Macci has given his opinion on who the future leaders of the tournament going forward will be as well stating “I think Sinner and  Carlos Alcaraz and there will be a few more that will enter the mix, but I can see them dominating tennis for a long time.” Macci further said that they might be the big two and eventually someone will also enter the mix.

This might still be a fairly early prediction, but we can still not deny the amount of potential these young players have shown. Even though the likes of Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev have shown some potential, these two have been the major centres of attention so far. There is no doubt that Jannick Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have the potential to be leaders of the modern generation of tennis and we will love to see these upcoming talents prosper.
