If there is a debate on who the current great of Tennis is right now Novak Djokovic is definitely on the list. The Serbian has been breaking records for fun where he has now won the most grand slam victories in men's singles and has held the number 1 ATP ranking for more than 400 weeks. Even at the age of 36 Djokovic is still one of the top players in the world of Tennis.

Though Novak Djokovic is still on top in terms of rankings, it is safe to say that his season so far has been underwhelming this time around. There has not been a single title that he has won so far. There is still time for Djokovic to get back to winning ways this season and prove why he is still one of the best in the world. He has still won his fifth Laureus Sportsman of the Year title and still has a lot of time in the season to finally get back to his best.

Djokovic plans going forward

The Australian season upset where the Serbian player lost to Jannick Sinner started a title drought. Djokovic has been in two ATP tournaments so far at the Indian Wells and Monte Carlo and has failed to win major games in them. His future is looking uncertain as he has now withdrawn from the Madrid Open as well. This was disappointing for the fans as they wanted to see him win his third Monte Carlo trophy and open his account. However, Djokovic has gone on to open up on his plans this season saying “ I prepare myself for Roland Garros, Wimbledon, Olympics and US Open. Rome will be my next tournament.”

This was a clear indication of the plans for Djokovic this season already. He has also added that he wants to play his best game at the Olympics as well and has plans for the next four years. This has given confidence to his fans on social media that Djokovic will still have a lot of Tennis left in him going forward. Even though the Madrid Open withdrawal was a concern it is at least great to see the current world number 1 have a clear plan ahead of him.
