Top-ranked Iga Swiatek went on to defeat Emma Raducana in the quarterfinals of the Porsche Grand Prix in Stuttgart on Friday. The star player beat Emma 7-6, 6-3. However, the 303-ranked Emma Raducana has produced some of her best form since winning the 2021 US Open. Indeed, her form wasn't that good to beat Iga Swiatek.

However, Iga Swiatek revealed that it was a very intense match for her, but she was ecstatic as she was able to continue her intensity in the game. The star player admitted that the win wasn't easy for her at all.

“It was a pretty intense match, so I’m happy that I was able to keep the intensity even though we played tough games for two hours. I hope she’ll be able to do it, because for sure, she has a game for that, but it’s not easy," Swiatek said.

Meanwhile, Emma Raducana has also opened up about her struggles and shared what it takes for her to reach that level and play against players like Iga in the quarterfinals.

This isn't my best, I still have a long way to go: Emma Raducana

"This isn't my best, I still have a long way to go. I am just really happy the rewards are starting to come on the match court. Going through everything I went through after the US Open and last year, having eight months out with surgery, it gives you a new appreciation and there's nothing like playing in front of fans, playing good tennis and building on it match by match," said Raducanu.

However, Marta Kostyuk also went on to beat Coco Gauff 3-6, 6-4, and 7-6 to win the quarterfinals of the game. The young player admitted that it wasn't easy for him at all, but she did it stunningly to produce one of the best games against Coco Gauff.

It’s very, very close. Definitely an amazing feeling to be in the semis here," Kostyuk said.
