There have been a lot of players that have been missing a majority of the clay season this year. It was still great to see the likes of Rafael Nadal back in the game in Barcelona and will be featuring in the upcoming French Open next month. There have still been some players that we have missed this season due to unfortunate circumstances. The likes of Carlos Alcaraz and Tommy Paul are some of the names that come to mind right now.

Another player that has also been missing is former world number 1 and 3-time grand slam winner Andy Murray. The UK tennis player known to be one of the best counterpunchers in the game had suffered a terrible ankle injury that has kept him out of the game for a long time. This was definitely an injury that could have caused him to miss out on this year's clay season.

Murray back to training after a month

There might still be hope for the British icon as he was seen coming back to training after a month. This really shows that all hope is not lost for Murray in this season who was looking good on the court with his iconic forehand shots which he has been known for. There is no confirmation that he might feature in the upcoming French Open, but it is still great to see him on the tennis court and looking to come back this season.

This is also a season where he has not been the most dominant and will want to prove that he is capable of more than just being a French Open finalist in 2016. It will be interesting to see how the 36-year-old will be coming back and getting to business straight away after facing an injury that could have cost him some big games in the future.
