WATCH: Crowd flocking to get a glimpse of World number 1 Novak Djokovic ahead of the Italian Open

The Italian Open will begin and though there are going to be a number of iconic players , the player everyone was looking forward to is World number 1 player Novak Djokovic. The Serbian powerhouse has been dominating a lot in the game and has had one of the most decorated careers we have ever witnbessed in the tennis world. It is good see him back into the game after a slightly long break after Monte Carlo.

However this season so far has been disaapointing for Djokovic whre he is has failed to win a title so far. This is one of the rare years where Novak Djokovic  has not won a title and will be featuring in the tournament along with his arch rival Rafael Nadal. He will be looking to get some ATP wins just before the French Open and will also keep his stop at number 1 which he has held for over 400 weeks. He will be looking for his 6th title in Rome this season as well.

Crowd forms in Rome

Djokovic has reached Rome for the Italian Open and will feature in the 2nd round of the tournament. Just as Djoko was seen driving a Golf Bugee there was a huge crowd which was formed surrounding the legendary sportsman from Serbia. The whole city was there to make sure they get a great glimpse of the 24 time grand slam winner and 6-time Italian Open champion. Djoko was completely blocked with people wanting to take a photo of the legendary icon just outside the stadium.

This shows the popularity of Djokovic in the tournament. He is surely one of the favourites to win the tournament and he already has the best response at the Italian capital. There will be a lot of support for Djokovic in this tournament as well and he will be getting some confidence from the atmosphere created surrounding him. It is clear that the whole world loves Novak Djokovic and they will do anything to see him live and also win the trournament.
