WATCH: Drew McIntyre posts old footage of The Rock's big claim and thanks him for gift

Drew McIntyre has reacted to the gift he received from The Rock recently. The Scottish Warrior posted the footage of an old recording where the people's champ was asked about the future of WWE. The great one was asked to give his opinion on the Superstars who could be the next John Cena or himself. The final boss revealed a couple of names and felt they could take the company forward.

The video was from 2019 when Roman Reigns was gaining momentum as a Superstar. The Rock had a few segments with his cousin and felt he could be the one to watch out for. In addition to it, the 1-time world champion claimed McIntyre to be a top draw. While The Rcok was not too sure about the picks as he felt a lot of guys were working hard, he took the names of Drew and Roman.

The Rock felt that Drew had a great look and build. The great one believed that Drew could be a top Superstar if he managed to be relevant among the audience. Drew posted the video and wrote "Recorded in 2019… It’s all about the long game." It has been posted as an acknowledgment of the gift from the final boss he received a few days back. 

Drew McIntyre re-signs with WWE

There were a lot of rumors regarding the future of McIntyre, particularly after his contract with the company came to an end. After a lot of rumors, Drew finally confirmed his extension of the contract with WWE. The news was confirmed by none other than The Rock, who posted a video on social media handles about gifting a sword to the Scottish Warrior as a mark of contract signing.

In a hotel, Drew was seen enjoying a bit of time with his loved ones, where The Rock sent the sword as a gift to Drew. The 3-time world champion happily accepted it and sported a smile. To acknowledge the moment, Drew posted the old video where the people's champ had spoken highly of him in 2019. There is a good chance of Drew winning the World HeavyWeight Championship in Glasgow.
