Jon Moxley spoke about 'The Shield' in a recent interview. The former WWE Superstar spoke about the purpose of the faction and felt that all three did what they were set for. Moxley has been in the news after becoming the first wrestler to win the IWGP World Title, the AEW World Title, and the WWE World Title.

Jon, known as Dean Ambrose in WWE, was asked about his journey to the top of Wrestling. The trio of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose came together as 'The Shield' which was a top faction in the PG Era. In 2014, Rollins betrayed Roman and Ambrose to mark the implosion of 'The Shield'.

By then, all of them were capable of being stars individually. Over the years, Roman and Rollins have carried WWE. Moxley has been a top Superstar in other companies. Speaking about the faction, Moxley claimed that they were not known to many and had a certain attitude of dominating the established Superstars in the main rosters.

"We were nobodies. We came in with attitudes, and we pretty much said, 'We’re coming in, f--- you, and we’re taking this sh-- over.'" said Moxley in the interview. Jon felt that as time passed, he came to believe that the members of the faction accomplished what they were set to.

Will The Shield ever reunite?

"The more time that passes, the more it becomes evident that we did exactly what we said we were going to do," added Moxley. It indeed seems true as all of them are now established stars in Wrestling. Ambrose left WWE in 2019. He is currently in AEW and has a contract till 2027.

The trio of Rollins, Ambrose, and Roman are all way apart. However, they have reunited a couple of times for special occasions. When Roman decided to move away from WWE due to leukaemia, and when Dean decided to leave WWE, the trio reunited. But given the current contract of Moxley, it seems unlikely for the trio to reunite anytime soon.
