Gunther is the latest WWE Superstar to compare the 'Old regime' and the new one which is headed by Triple H. The former Intercontinental Champion was in a recent interview where he was asked to speak on the difference he found between the two regimes. The longest reigning IC Champion did not hesitate to give his opinion on the two regimes.

The ring general said that the product before Triple H took over was something he did not enjoy. Gunther claimed that he did not want to be a part of the 'Old regime'. "The product before Triple H was not what I enjoyed. I just didn't want to be part of that," said the top heel in a recent interview. Gunther recently registered his name to be a part of the 'King of the Ring'.

In a social media post ahead of the WWE Draft 2024 on Monday Night Raw, the ring general asked the fans to predict if he would join Smackdown or stay in Raw. The fans had mixed opinions regarding it. While some believed him to move to Smackdown to compete against Cody Rhodes for the world title, others felt that he had to go behind the IC title.

'He always had that vision for me' - Gunther

In the interview, Gunther claimed that he believes in certain aspects of wrestling like delivering good matches by spending some time in the ring. The ring general claimed that under the Old regime, he did not get a chance to do that. He said that Triple H saw his hunger for Gunther to deliver good matches and had the vision for the longest-reigning IC Champion.

"I am who I am and that's what I can do best. A big part of that is I need to have my time in the ring and have that time to put on the matches I can put on. That chance would not be there under the old regime. With Triple H, he always saw that in me, and he always had that vision for me," added Gunther
