Jey Uso has final laugh over Judgement Day after beating Finn Balor

Jey Uso claimed an impressive win against Finn Balor on Monday Night Raw. After winning the fatal 4-way match last week against Ricochet, Drew McIntyre and Bronson Reed, the former Bloodline members got an opportunity to have a title shot at Damian Priest. They will now be facing each other in Backlash next month. The PPV event is set to happen in France.

Finn Balor attacked Jey from behind before the bell rang. Even before the match started, Jey had a bit of talk with the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion, Cody Rhodes. It might be the last interaction with the two before they meet again in the future. Cody will now be drafted into Smackdown and Jey will continue to headline Monday Night Raw. 

Before they meet each other the next time, the American Nightmare and Uso yeeted for one last time. Before doing so, Cody offered assistance to Jey knowing what Judgement Day usually do. But Jey denied the support saying he wanted to take on Judgement Day on his own. Soon after it, Balor aimed to beat Uso to try and help Priest to have an easy defence of the title. 

Jey Uso stands tall

Balor dominated the first half of the match with his calculative moves. But the younger Uso made a return with his big hands. The priest was observing the match from the TV. As the younger Uso gained momentum in the match, he rushed towards the ring. By the time the world champion could come, Jey had claimed the win over Balor. 

The star performer delivered a spear and followed it up with a Uso splash to register a win. As Priest showed Uso that he is the world champion by holding the title proudly, JD McDonagh, Dirty Dominik Mysterio, and Balor attacked Jey. He managed to get rid of the attacks and headed back to the backstage unscathed. Jey met Sami Zayn and encouraged him to the main event. Damian was not too happy with his teammates attacking Jey for no reason.
