Shawn Michaels regarded Kurt Angle as one of the most underrated WWE Superstars of all time. The Heartbreak kid was in a segment ahead of NXT Stand and Deliver and spoke about some of his past matches. Along with the Mr WrestleMania, some of the emerging stars of NXT were present. The likes of Trick Williams, Roxanne Perez, and Carmelo Hayes were in the interview.

During the discussion, a point came where Michaels recalled about his WrestleMania 21 match with Kurt Angle. Before the two took on each other, there was a huge hype for the match considering the in-ring skills of Shawn and Angle. Michaels felt that both he and Angle realized the pressure of having to deliver in the arena. He claimed that Angle was one of the best wrestlers of his time.

Shawn appreciated the caliber of Kurt as an in-ring performer. Michaels acknowledged the fact that Kurt was an Olympic Gold medalist and seemed ruthless when on a song. "Probably a guy that doesn’t get as much credit as he should for attention to detail ... he looks like a scary son of a gun when he wants to go," Michaels claimed.

Shawn Michaels' advice for young wrestlers

The former world champion felt that Angle was underrated as an in-ring performer and asked the younger wrestlers around him to learn from the best ones in the business like Kurt. "You got to go out there and not be afraid to just don't have any inhibitions inside you, just go out there trying to make each other's stuff look the best," added Michaels in the interview.

The heartbreak kid further spoke about his match with John Cena in WrestleMania 23 and showed what it takes for emerging stars to establish themselves at the highest level. He encouraged Trick Williams to give his best in the main event of NXT Stand and Deliver. Williams went on to beat his former friend, Carmelo Hayes, in the main event of the biggest NXT event of all time.
