Turki Alalshikh aims to bring Royal Rumble and WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia

Turki Alalshikh spoke about getting the main PPV events of WWE to Saudi Arabia. In a recent interview, he spoke about the changes the country needs to witness in Boxing. The Chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority wished to get major PLE of WWE like Royal Rumble and WrestleMania to the Middle East as he aimed to make the country a sporting capital. 

Alalshikh is praised by a lot of people for his measures to reform Boxing in Saudi Arabia. He recently got UFC's event to be hosted by the Riyadh Season. The Las Vegas event is now in deal with Saudi Arabia. Likewise, his decisions on Boxing have received good praise from several authorities and journalists from around the world. By getting major PPV events to Saudi, his reputation is only going to get better. 

Saudi Arabia is aiming to become a sports and entertainment hub in the world. Given the money they have, nothing seems difficult. In Cricket and Football, they already have their investment. The focus seems to be shifting towards Wrestling and Boxing. Saudi does have a good fan following and exposure for several sports and entertainment-based companies. 

Major PLE events of WWE in Saudi Arabia

While the focus of Saudi is to host major WWE events like Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, they seem to be going in the right direction. In the past, they have hosted some of the PPV events. The reaction to it from the fans and the gate sell-out has been good. It has led to WWE conducting more PLE events in the Middle East. Some such events took place in the last few years.

The Clash at the Castle and Crown Jewel are to name some. In 2023, the Crown Jewel was conducted in Saudi. The upcoming King of the Ring tournament will take place in Saudi on the 24th of May later this month. Some of the major stars in WWE currently like Becky Lynch, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Gunther, and Logan Paul will be in action in the ring.
