India and Australia are up against each other in a four-match Test series, and it is levelled 1-1 at the moment. The fourth Test was all set to be conducted in Brisbane, but Indian management stated earlier that it has some reservations over Cricket Australia’s quarantine rules in Queensland. In the same light, former English skipper Michael Vaughan has received too much backlash for an unusual dig at the Indian cricket team over their reservations to go Brisbane.
India are committed to getting involved in the final Test match of the series at Gabba commencing 15th January, only if the hotel room protocols are sorted well in time. However, Vaughan felt that quarantine rules might not be the actual reason behind India’s reluctance. It can be pitch issues as Australia boasts an excellent record in Brisbane, where they haven’t lost a Test in the last 33 years. And, this is why Indians don’t want to play in Gabba.
“Covid restrictions or the Pitch in Brisbane they are concerned about?” Vaughan tweeted, but it invited a huge criticism. Right after his comments, he received a lot of flak from cricket fans around the world. Vaughan is known for his unusual comments and pinpointing India on various occasions. Here is how Twitter reacted to his comments.
Michael Vaughan received much backlash on Twitter
How loose your thinking can be? It tells how scared Australia is, because if any pitch assists India even 10%, chances of Aus victories suffer a downward spiral. You can’t play on any pitch in India and playing your old dirty tricks. Make some sense plz. Do u know MENTAL FATIGUE?

It was only sometimes back where Vaughan added that India would be smoked 0-4 in the four-match Test series. His comments came after India’s too dismal show in Adelaide. However, when India put up a great at MCG, he took a U-turn and lauded the team’s and Ajinkya Rahane’s efforts. However, he again went on to add that Australia will defeat India 3-1 in the ongoing Test series.
People thrashed him with a lot of comments and a fan added that how loose his thinking can be. “How loose your thinking can be? It tells how scared Australia is because if any pitch assists India even 10%, chances of Aus victories suffer a downward spiral. You can’t play on any pitch in India and playing your old dirty tricks. Make some sense plz. Do u know MENTAL FATIGUE?” a fan’s comment read.
