New Zealand cricketer Mitchell McClenaghan got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Georgia England on Sunday. Both of them were in a relationship for quite some time now and have finally decided to get hitched. Though the date of their marriage is not known yet even as they got engaged.
Georgia England has been visiting India to partner her love and the cricketer McClenaghan who plays for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Both of them have previously posted pictures with each other and even recently McClenaghan had bid goodbye to Georgia while leaving to play the second season of the Global T20 Canada.
Both, Mitchell McClenaghan and Georgia England, confirmed the news of their engagement on their respective Instagram handles and expressed their delight having chosen the best partner for themselves.
McClenaghan’s cricket career
Mitchell McClenaghan, meanwhile, has become the T20 freelancer. He last played for New Zealand across any formats in 2016 and opted not to take the central contract a couple of years in order to play in the T20 leagues overseas. New Zealand Cricket (NZC) then had confirmed that he will be in the plans to play for the national side in the future but hasn’t been picked for any of the matches since then.
The left-arm fast bowler has been associated with the Mumbai Indians for a long time now in the IPL. He has been part of the team’s title-winning triumphs on a number of occasions now. However, it remains to be seen if the 33-year-old will ever play for New Zealand again. He has featured in 48 ODIs and 29 T20 Internationals for the Black Caps so far and has gone on to pick 82 and 30 wickets respectively.
As far as his personal life is concerned, Mitchell McClenaghan seems to be settling down with his fiancee Georgia England and it will be interesting when the couple will get hitched.
