Michael Vaughan is someone who never stops from expressing his opinion on anything related to cricket. The former England captain has been quite active on social media and never shies away from posting his thoughts. On Monday, after India scripted a great turnaround in the Sydney Test, Vaughan once again took to Twitter to praise the effort of the Indian team.
The cricketer-turned commentator talked about how the Indian team has showcased great skills on the field along with tough mental resilience. He further went on to praise Rishabh Pant for his knock by calling him a special player. The 46-year-old also predicted that the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman will dominate world cricket in all three formats sometime in the near future.
“His tweet read, “Bloody Love Test Cricket … This Indian team have shown in the last 2 Tests Great skill but more so much more mental resilience … btw I believe @RishabhPant17 is a special player who will have a period of dominance in all formats soon !! #AUSvsIND.”

It should be noted that Michael Vaughan had infamously predicted that the Indian team will lose this series 4-0 before even the start. After the first Test, he also tweeted that his prediction was getting right.
Early call … I think Australia will beat India this tour in all formats convincingly … #AUSvIND

Led by Pujara, Pant, Vihari and Ashwin, India achieves the unthinkable
India was chasing a daunting target of 407 runs to win the third Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21. To play for a draw, the Indian team had to survive more than 130 overs. This is something which seemed close to impossible for them to do, but a string of contributions made it possible.
India came into day five of the third Test, with a score little less than 100 and two wickets down. Losing the captain Ajinkya Rahane early in the day was a big blow. However, Pant, who was given a surprise promotion, took on the Australian bowling attack, especially Nathan Lyon. It was his knock of 97, which shifted the momentum towards India, and the visitors started hoping for an improbable win.
But, India lost Pant and Cheteshwar Pujara in quick succession, as the hosts had a feel for a win. At this point, more than 40 overs were yet to be played and the Aussies needed just five wickets. But, Ravi Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari played out those overs to ensure a draw for the visitors and kept the series leveled at 1-1.
