Team India batsmen are mounting big runs against South Africa bowling line up. Indian batsman Rohit Sharma is making life more tough for Proteas bowlers on Indian soil. On one side cricketing fraternity is praising Team India’s batting performance but then came a moment when a journalist called Ajinkya Rahane ‘saala’ during the press conference.
Actually, during the final Test, Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma built a partnership of 267 runs. It is the highest 4th wicket stand against South Africa. Rahane got out after scoring his 11th Test ton and Rohit smashed his maiden double ton.
At one moment, the hosts were struggling when they lost there three wickets for 39. The hosts successfully overcame the collapse of Day 1 with the help of a partnership that took place between Rahne and Rohit. After the end of the second day’s play, the Mumbaikar Rohit Sharma attended the press conference.
Journalist asks Rohit Sharma a question on ‘saala’ Rahane
During the press meet, a journalist asked a question about the form of middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane. While asking the question, the journalist used the phrase ‘saala’ and asked, “What do you want to say about Ajinkya Rahane‘s batting, what’s it like watching it from other end – ‘Saala chabuk batting Karta hai’.”
In a reply to this question, the Indian opener got surprised by the words used by the Indian reporter and couldn’t stop his laughter over it, but he also asked him not to use such words for Team India’s Test vice-captain. Then he explained that middle-order batsman is doing really well for the team and his graph is just going higher and higher with his career moving in the right direction.
The hosts are currently having a firm grip over the South African team in the final Test as they have imposed a follow-on over them. This is consecutively the second time that visitors have been imposed by the hosts over them. On Day-three they lost a total of 16 wickets. They are current batting at 132/8 in the second innings, trailing by 203 runs.
