Since breaking to the national side, Stuart Broad has established his place in world cricket as England’s bowling mainstay. Combining with James Anderson, Broad has been delivering match-winning performances for the English side and his records speak for his calibre.
Broad recently paved his way into the illustrious club of fast bowlers who have bagged 500 wickets in the traditional format. Against the third Test against West Indies, the right-arm pacer became the 7th bowler to surpass the tally of 500 Test wickets and he achieved the milestone in his 14th year of Test cricket.
Representing England in 143 Tests, 121 ODIs and 56 T20Is, Broad has plucked over 700 international wickets. 34-year-old Broad still has a few years before he bids adieu to the sport. The lanky pacer may have tons of experience but fans never miss a chance to compare two players in international cricket.
I love Bumrah, one of my favourites: Stuart Broad
On Broad’s recent Instagram post, a fan compared him with India’s tearaway Jasprit Bumrah. “You are not great like Bumrah,” commented the fan on Broad’s picture.

In response, Broad commented that he adores Bumrah and the Ahmedabad-born speedster is one of his favourites. Adding to that, Broad also suggested the fan to enjoy good bowlers instead of comparing them. “I love him, one of my favourites. I agree with you, but you don’t need comparisons. Just enjoy good bowlers,” wrote Broad.

Broad’s last appearance for England was in the third and final Test against Pakistan at Rose Bowl, Southampton. Despite drawing the last Test, visitors England clinched the series 1-0.
Talking about Bumrah, the master of yorkers has been away from the sport since COVID-19 hiatus. But he is set to return to the field in much-awaited IPL 2020, starting from September 19th. Bumrah has been a vital part of Mumbai Indians’ bowling force and he is expected to play a crucial role in their title heist this season.
Defending champions Mumbai Indians are scheduled to open their IPL 2020 campaign against MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings in the season opener at Abu Dhabi. Along with Mumbai Indians, Bumrah has also cemented his place in the national squad. Due to his impeccable accuracy and toe-crushing yorkers, has been the team’s go-to bowler in crunch situations.
