Team India will embark on their World Test Championship journey from Thursday when they face the Windies in the first of the two-match series in Antigua. They have already won the ODI and T20I series and haven’t lost a Test against the Caribbeans since 2002. Ahead of the series opener though the team spent some time together at the beach and the pictures were shared by the cricketers themselves on Instagram.
Almost everyone was the part of the team outing if the picture posted by Virat Kohli on his official Instagram handle is concerned. Rather the fitness freaks in the team flaunted their abs in the photo and the fans were in awe looking at Kohli’s abs. He certainly is the fittest cricketer in the team it seems while Rohit Sharma was trolled for hiding himself behind KL Rahul as many taunted he doesn’t have such abs.
Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah also shared his picture from the beach and clicked a picture with Virat Kohli as the duo showed off their abs. Both of them are extremely fit and the picture shared proves it all.
Yuvraj’s comment
However, Yuvraj Singh, who announced retirement from all forms of the game recently, tried to take a dig at Bumrah for clicking a picture with the Indian captain. He commented, “Oho fitness idol,” on the picture which, in a way, suggests that Kohli is the idol for Bumrah in terms of fitness. Jasprit Bumrah and Yuvraj were also the teammates recently in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the camaraderie between them is visible.
As far as Bumrah is concerned, he will be returning to the action after a decent rest post the World Cup in England. He was India’s trump card in the tournament but the Men in Blue lost in the semi-final despite his best efforts with the ball. Bumrah will now be keen to continue with his heroics in the longer format.
