2019 has been a tough year for India in the T20I format as they have lost series both at home and away thus far. Their last T20I assignment will be against West Indies at home in a 3-match series starting on Friday. The Caribbean team have been in India for the last one month as they face Afghanistan in all three formats. The Kieron Pollard-led team will face a full-strength Indian team led by Virat Kohli in a 3-match ODI series post the T20I series.

36 – No player has taken as many wickets as Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the T20 format at the RGIC Stadium in Hyderabad. The Indian pacer has picked up 36 wickets in 36 T20s which includes his maiden 5-fer in this format.
50 – Yuzvendra Chahal has picked up 50 wickets in his 34-match T20I career thus far. Chahal needs three more wickets to go past Ravichandran Ashwin (52) to become India’s leading wicket-taker in the shortest format. At the moment, Jasprit Bumrah (51) is on the 2nd position while Chahal is 3rd.
52 – Number of wickets for Deepak Chahar in Twenty20 format this year; the 2nd most number of T20 wickets for a pacer in 2019. Chahar is only behind Harry Gurney’s tally of 53 wickets. The pacer has picked up 52 wickets at an average of 16.26.
399 – Rohit Sharma is one six away from becoming the first Indian and only the 3rd player overall to complete 400 sixes in International cricket. Chris Gayle (534 sixes) and Shahid Afridi (476 sixes) are the only players with 400+ International sixes till date.
953 – The West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard needs 47 more runs to become the 4th player to complete 1000 T20I runs for West Indies.
974 – KL Rahul has amassed 974 runs from 28 innings in the T20I format thus far. He needs 26 more runs in his next innings to become the joint 3rd fastest to 1000 T20I runs. Babar Azam and Virat Kohli reached the milestone in 26 and 27 innings respectively. Aaron Finch is the 3rd quickest to 1000 T20I runs taking 29 innings.
1250 – Runs Shreyas Iyer has scored in the Twenty20 format on Indian soil this year. These are the most T20 runs by a player in India in a calendar year. Shreyas has struck two hundreds and six half-centuries.
1299 – Kieron Pollard has aggregated 1299 runs in the Twenty20 format in 2019; the 3rd most number of T20 runs by any player this year. Pollard is averaging 35.1 this year and has a strike rate of 146.94.
